Volunteer

Our volunteers are the heart of ROG. They give their valuable time to support the children, parents and the charity and we are eternally grateful to every single one. Our charity would not survive without them! We are lucky to have a incredible team of volunteers and dedicated trustees. Working with ROG gives them a real sense of purpose and satisfaction in the knowledge that they are making a real difference to the lives of the children and families we support. Many of these wonderful people have personal connections with the charity and have chosen to come back and volunteer as a way of giving back to the service that they benefited from. If you are interested in volunteering in any way, please do get in touch. We would love to hear from you.

“I have been a volunteer for a number of years and I love every minute of it. The children keep me young and active.”

Sue, Volunteer and Trustee

“I love being a volunteer at Romsey Opportunity Group. The children who attend have many needs and it is wonderful to be involved in supporting their progress and to work alongside the other volunteers, parents and carers.”

Jenny, Volunteer

“As a retired early years teacher, leading music sessions as a volunteer with the Romsey Opportunity group allows me to share my teaching skills with our gorgeous little ones. To watch the expressions on their faces during our music sessions and the fun we have with instruments, puppets and teddies, and be part of their journey is so rewarding. Every minute spent with them is a privilege. My time at ROG is such fun and an absolute joy… which is why 12 years later I am still here!”

Liz, Volunteer

“I have volunteered for ROG for 3 years. I believe strongly in the value of early years education after I was a reception teacher for 9 of my 20 year career. I love seeing children grow in confidence and having fun in a nurturing environment. All volunteers are lovely, caring people and I enjoy the camaraderie of working with them. ROG is a very special place.”
